Computer-aided design of submicron VLSI and chip-based systems The program was developed as a result of a joint educational project between MIET and Cadence Design Systems (USA). Upon completion of training, graduates of the program receive a state master’s diploma of the Russian Federation and a certificate from Cadence. Students have internships at leading international design centers in Russia and the world and participate in real projects in the internship process. The training is carried out by professors of MIET, as well as specialists from enterprises developing integrated circuits.

I like electronics and computer hardware since I was very young and my dream was to be able to design my own computer. That's why I study in the best university of electronics and nanoelectronics field in Russia. On this program I studied every type of schematic design like analog design, mixed design, digital hardware design, functional verification aspects of nanoelectronics manufacturing the master program is aimed to prepare bachelors and super qualified specialist in our field. I like that students get actual courses in all classes. Also, our tutors are invited specialists from different big companies such as JC Mary, Elvis, CADANCE design systems Russia and others. Also students will have an opportunity to have a practice in European countries. For example, me and my groupmate Igor came to practice at HP in Germany Brandenburg area.

My educational program provides basic training in areas such as semiconductor physics, circuit design, sequenced routing and processing. Also at this stage of training, we learn hardware description language such as Verilog. We have the opportunity to work in Cadence environment, we do a lot of different laboratory works. Electronic means are so much in today's world and the future relies on it, and I want to make my own contribution to the development of electronics.

I like this direction for several reasons. The first is I can combine the work and study because I have only three days for studying. The second reason is we have much time for practical classes in Cadence environment. And the third reason is that a large number of companies cooperate with our department and provide places for practice for all students in our field. I have been practicing for year in international company NXP Semiconductors in the development department of interface element libraries.
